Joanne Hegarty

Joanne Hegarty is a board member and long-standing volunteer with Down Syndrome Centre Cork, involved with the Centre since its establishment in 2017.

 

She studied Social Science and Facilitating Inclusion at University College Cork and has played a key role in shaping the Centre’s communications, managing its social media and online presence since the early days. As the mother of Olivia, who attends the Centre, Joanne brings valuable lived experience and a strong commitment to inclusive, parent-led, family-centred supports.
