Kimberley Leacy

Kimberley is a Speech and Language Therapist who recently returned to Ireland after living in New Zealand for eleven years. She is delighted to be part of the Down Syndrome Centre Cork team and is looking forward to working alongside and getting to know the families attending the Centre.

Kimberley is passionate about supporting children to develop their communication skills through holistic, play-based therapy and inclusive, natural environment approaches. She recognises that communication looks different for every child and works closely with families to understand each child’s unique strengths, supporting them to develop meaningful and independent ways to express their needs, wants and ideas.

Outside of work, Kimberley enjoys spending time in nature with her husband and two young boys. As a family, they love the beach, camping, hiking and exploring the outdoors together.
