Event Information

​

Challenge 21 is a 21km fundraising event from Haulbowline to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, supporting the vital work of Down Syndrome Centre Cork.

Taking place on Sunday, 14th June 2026, participants can walk, jog or run the route at their own pace. This is a timed event, welcoming individuals, families, and teams of all abilities.

As a one-way route, a return bus service will be available this year from Páirc Uí Chaoimh to Haulbowline (subject to demand).

What to Expect

  • A scenic 21km route from Haulbowline to Páirc Uí Chaoimh

  • Fully timed event

  • Water/refreshment stations along the route

  • A fun and inclusive atmosphere for all ages and abilities

  • Finish line celebration at Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Why Take Part

​

Down Syndrome Centre Cork supports over 200 children and their families across Cork and Munster, providing vital services such as Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.

The Centre receives no government funding, so events like Challenge 21 are essential to keep these supports running.

  • €50 entry fee (non-fundraising option)

  • €21 entry when you commit to fundraising

Transport

​

As this is a one-way event, a bus from Páirc Uí Chaoimh to Haulbowline will be organised on the morning of the event, depending on demand.
