Fi O'Meara

Fi O’Meara is the physiotherapist at the Down Syndrome Centre Cork and has been part of the team since 2017. She specialises in paediatric physiotherapy and brings over 20 years of experience working with children.
Her career has spanned a wide range of settings, from Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin to international work in Uganda, as well as roles with Enable Ireland in Wicklow and in private practice with Barefoot Physio in Cork, specialising in working with babies and young children with neurological disabilities.
Fi cares deeply not only about the children she supports, but also their families. As a mother herself, she understands the balance of therapy and everyday life, and always aims to tailor her approach to suit the needs of each child and family.
Outside of work, Fi enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and can often be found orienteering, climbing or hiking.
